Jet 40 ELHPT is the tiller steered model. It's got a stainless steel impeller--stock from the factory--way better than aluminum impellers. This baby is rated at 40 hp and it's built on the 60 hp powerhead. This jet offers the rare feature of fitting on traditional long shaft 20" transom height without needing a riser or custom transom work.

Sure, it's a 4-stroke with EFI but it's also a 4 cylinder for less vibration and smooth running. This is the most fuel efficient jet in this horsepower class. 

The tiller handle is the awsome Mercury Advanced Tiller Handle which is 37" long and has all the running controls out on the handle: shifting, throttle, ignition, kill switch, trim, troll control. The Advanced Tiller is adjustable all 4 directions so it will fit pretty much any boat. It even has warning lights built in to notify you of things like overheat, low oil or other issues.
